FRIDAY:
Glenbard West (6-9-4) won 3-1 in a regional opener against Willowbrook, with Lauren Davis netting two goals and Molly Abromitis scoring once in the win. Lauren Henkel also had an assist in Glen Ellyn.
TUESDAY:
Downers Grove South (17-2-1, 6-0) won its 10th consecutive West Suburban Conference Gold Division title with a 7-0 win over Leyden in Northlake, and posted a 33-0 scoring edge over WSG opponents this year. Stephanie Zurales scored 3 goals and freshman Emily Wauer scored 2 in the team's 13th shutout of the season.
Naperville Central (12-6-3, 6-0-1) clinched its fourth consecutive DuPage Valley Conference title with a 3-0 win over Glenbard North, on goals from Kristen Adams, Katherine Short, and Maddie Thompson, and assists from Adams and Short on the road in Carol Stream. Jill D'Amico was in net for the Redhawks' 9th shutout of the season.
Elk Grove (9-6-5) tied 2-2 with Fremd (13-3-2) in an Mid-Suburban League crossover match to end the regular season for both teams. The Grens got goals from Jill Zelek and Michelle Calmeyn on assists from Calmeyn and Katie Naughton in Elk Grove.
Barrington (13-6-1) won 2-0 over Buffalo Grove in an MSL crossover played in Buffalo Grove, with the Fillies getting goals from Aimee Pierce and Elli Ackerman on a pair of assists from Emily Hyde. Goalkeepers Kelly Pedersen and Kathryn Avedon shared in the Fillies' 11th shutout of the season.
St. Francis (13-5-2, 7-1) scored all 8 of its goals against Immaculate Conception in the first half of the Suburban Christian Conference game in Wheaton. Andrea Ravlin and Katie Ramsey scored pair of goals each and the Spartans also got goals from Andi Matichak, Sydney Fox, Taylor Ravlin, and Kaity Bucaro in the win. Sarah Rahman and Hallie Woods had a pair of assists each while Ramsey and Fox had one apiece. The Spartans host Marian Central Catholic on Thursday with a share of the SCC title on the line.
MONDAY:
Plainfield South (8-6-2) tied 1-1 with Providence Catholic, with Kelsey Pruett scoring off a Kylie Krstinich throw-in with less than 5 minutes remaining in the game. South goalkeeper Taylor Schwebke made 7 saves on the day.
Wheaton Academy (9-5-0; 6-1-0) won 4-0 over Rosary in a Suburban Christian Conference game on 4 goals from Ally Witt, 2 assists from Molly Cook, and one assist from Rachael Nasralla. Kristen Morency was in net for the Warriors' 4th shutout of the season.
Naperville North (10-5-1, 4-1-1) won 4-0 at Wheaton North (7-9-2, 2-3) in a DuPage Valley Conference game. Christa Szalach had a goal and an assist for the Huskies, who also got goals from Emily Bromagen, Zoe Swift, and Adrienne Schertz. Hunter Drendel, Meghan Lee, and Kirsten Anderson also assisted in the win.
